Each day a new paragraph is revealed one sentence at a time. Your goal is to guess the one word that captures its essence. You have 5 guesses. Wrong or close guesses reveal the next sentence as a clue.
Make sure you have an internet connection — GIST fetches each day's puzzle from our server. If the problem persists, try closing and reopening the app. New puzzles are available daily at 6AM UTC.
Your puzzle history and stats are stored locally on your device. Deleting and reinstalling the app will clear this data. Unfortunately we are unable to restore local progress.
Tap the list icon in the top right of the app to access the archive. You can view all past puzzles and play any you may have missed.
GIST sends a daily reminder at 8AM your local time when a new puzzle is ready. You can enable or disable this in your device's notification settings.
